Job Summary
The Software Developer will serve as the on-site technical resource for the Medicaid Management System (MMS) project, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of solutions leveraging IBM Cúram, Java/J2EE, NodeJS, ReactJS, and AWS.
The developer will collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and vendors to deliver high-quality, scalable software aligned with business goals and technical standards.
Responsibilities
Design and document detailed technical design documents based on business and functional requirements.
Develop software components, APIs, and integrations in accordance with established coding standards and project architecture.
Perform data mapping, gap analysis, and validate system functionality against business needs.
Support technical leads/architects with troubleshooting, POCs, and SQL-based data analysis to inform design decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, QA, SMEs, architects) on requirements, specifications, and integrations.
Partner with the Quality Manager to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Communicate project status, issues, and technical risks effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear language for non-technical audiences.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with IBM Cúram framework (HCR and CGIS modules).
Strong expertise in Cúram OOTB modules – Workflow, Tasks, CER Rules, Evidence Framework (static/dynamic), IEG, and Web Services.
Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of healthcare insurance principles, Medicaid, or MMIS systems.
Experience with Python, NodeJS, ReactJS/Angular, and JSON.
Hands-on exposure to AWS cloud technologies.
Ability to profile and troubleshoot IBM Cúram custom and OOTB code.
Experience delivering in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
