Pricing Analyst
to join our New York team. The Pricing Analyst will work closely with our pricing and billing teams, as well as clients and attorneys on pricing related requests.
Responsibilities
Prepare budget estimates for legal work using existing templates and develop additional models for different types of matters, as needed.
Review and update client fee arrangements and liaise with the Billing team to answer rate related questions and ensure that client and matter fee arrangements are accurately implemented.
Summarize pricing-related provisions and make recommendations for potential revisions to Outside Counsel Guidelines.
Develop and analyze client, matter and portfolio reporting; communicating trends, fees relative to budget, and realization implications to key stakeholders.
Communicate directly with attorneys as needed regarding fee arrangements as well as pricing, reporting, budgeting, and ad-hoc data requests.
Perform analysis related to clients and matter, including data mining, cleansing, and reconciliation.
As a member of the Pricing team, support the team with various custom rate analyses needed for responses to RFPs and client rate negotiations.
Participate in the annual review of firm standard rates and collaborate with partners to update client level arrangements and agreements as necessary.
Continually contribute to the development of best practices that can be leveraged to improve team efficiency and accuracy.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
2-3 years of experience as a pricing or financial analyst, with similar responsibilities as described above, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including experience with Excel models. Exposure to SQL queries a plus.
Analytical acumen including the ability to derive insights and provide conclusions and recommendations from raw data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present results.
Accountability for quality, accuracy, and completeness of work product.
A commitment to customer focus and responsiveness.
Ability to manage multiple requests and projects from start to finish without sacrificing detail-oriented quality measures, including meeting new and existing deadlines.
Experience with law firm accounting systems a plus.
Schedule This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance with the schedule set forth by the department.
Salary $95,000 - $110,000 (exempt). Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
