Base Pay Range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Director of Recruiting - Plastic Injection Molding Summary/Objective:
Seeking a qualified Quality Manager with a background in plastic injection molding (preferably automotive), quality system oversight, and staff development. The ideal candidate will ensure consistent product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement with a strong focus on IATF 16949:2016 compliance, defect prevention, and waste reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and improve the quality management system to maintain certifications (IATF 16949:2016) and meet customer/regulatory requirements.
Oversee quality assurance, document control, inspection, and engineering functions.
Conduct internal audits, lead management reviews, and manage corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Handle customer complaints, host quality audits, and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
Support sales with quality input during quotations and customer interactions.
Develop and manage department budgets.
Lead supplier quality programs, including audits and performance monitoring.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide training in tools like FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and 6S.
Supervise lab and inspection staff; ensure proper testing, evaluation, and training.
Qualifications:
5+ years in quality, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong knowledge of quality systems, particularly IATF 16949.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
