Job Description
The Sport Clubs Coach II (Archery Assistant Coach) is responsible for coaching the assigned Archery club.
Specifically, the assistant coach will help athletes elevate their competitive performance in and out of tournament environments, aid athletes in the archery mental process, focus on elite competitive form/technique on the micro level, and facilitate long-term archer development, training, and injury prevention.
Duties
General:
Responsible for coordinating practices, home and away competitions, and tournaments. Must be able to teach a wide range of participants from beginners to experienced high school and collegiate athletes. Properly instruct fundamentals and technique. Administrative:
Assist club leadership with short and long-term goals and develop a plan of action for the academic year. Other:
Perform other duties as assigned to support the department, division, and university. Qualifications: Minimum of two years coaching experience at the youth, high school, junior college, or collegiate club level. High School Graduate/GED required. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates should effectively communicate with a diverse student population, demonstrate leadership and organizational skills, and have experience comparable to coaching at the collegiate club level. Pay & Work Schedule Hourly wage is commensurate with experience. This is a seasonal, part-time position from September to May. Travel is required for competitions. Schedule varies between 5 and 20 hours per week. The hiring range is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour.
