Job Opportunity: Entry-Level Police Trainee - City of Lodi Police Department

The City of Lodi Police Department offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, current students, or accepted applicants of a California Basic P.O.S.T. police academy seeking growth and challenge in law enforcement. Eligibility:

Recent graduates (within 2 years of application closing date) or current enrollees in a California Basic P.O.S.T. police academy. Proof of enrollment or graduation must be attached to your application; failure to submit this documentation will disqualify your application. Application Instructions

Under close supervision, learn law enforcement duties, responsibilities, and skills. This is an entry-level, non-sworn position. Successful completion of the police academy and the Field Training Program is required for appointment as a Police Officer. Failure to complete the academy will result in termination. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Currently attending, accepted, or recently graduated from a POST-certified Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy. Possession of a valid California driver's license. At least 20 years old at examination time and 21 at appointment. In excellent health with the ability to pass a medical exam, normal hearing, and corrected vision to 20/30. Physical and Work Environment

Must meet physical demands, including occasional lifting over 100 pounds, and work in various environments, including outside weather conditions and potentially hazardous situations. Additional Requirements

Criminal background check through fingerprinting. Conditional job offers contingent on medical and drug screening. Probationary period of twelve months post-appointment. Benefits
