What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Prospect and research potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of schools in hosting Book Fairs
Build and maintain relationships with educators and school administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
Manage and track sales activities and progress towards goals within the CRM system
Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation strategies and stay informed about industry trends
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail, event management, or customer service
Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation and CRM systems
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
Outstanding interpersonal skills for building relationships with peers and customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Proven leadership qualities and ability to execute a vision while managing multiple priorities
Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
