Cardiovascular‑Renal Sales Consultant - Asheville, NC
Join Boehringer Ingelheim as a Cardiovascular‑Renal Sales Consultant in Asheville, NC. In this role you will partner with key cardiology and nephrology specialists, advanced practice clinicians, allied health professionals, and hospital account teams to grow sales of our cardiovascular‑renal‑metabolic (CRM) products and co‑promoted brands.
Duties & Responsibilities
Execute brand strategies to ensure effective sales and marketing messaging to customers.
Leverage expertise in cardiology, nephrology, diabetes, and the marketplace to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of disease state, key drivers, influencers, and prescribing patterns in the territory.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with co‑promotion partners and Boehringer Ingelheim employees.
Work collaboratively with all customer‑facing roles (account teams, medical teams, etc.) to meet customer needs and achieve net sales objectives.
Translate product knowledge into compelling presentations and provide customer‑focused solutions.
Deliver high clinical and technical value to customers, supporting their unique patient care needs within regulatory guidelines.
Encourage technical information requests from customers beyond standard visits.
Build trusted relationships, driving appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular‑renal products.
Utilize proven sales training techniques to facilitate decision‑making and generate pull‑through within local payers and hospitals.
Develop cardio‑renal customer networks and coordinate engagement through personal and non‑personal channels.
Integrate digital media and platforms (live video, marketing email, etc.) into territory‑level business plans.
Support continuous‑care models, discharge protocols, treatment algorithms and population health initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
At least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with 1+ year promoting cardiovascular, diabetes, or nephrology products.
Hospital and/or account management experience preferred.
Track record of successful performance and meeting key competency expectations.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
Willingness to travel, including overnight travel.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Reside in territory geography or willing to relocate.
Ability to use authorized company vehicle or lease.
Eligibility Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Willing to take a drug test and post‑offer physical if required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
