The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations, manages and mentors staff, and ensures financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.

Key Responsibilities Leadership
Oversees the work of accounting staff
Provides training
Offers guidance and support to accounting team and department leaders
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department
Timely communications with Controller and Department Leaders
Accounting Operations
Ensures accuracy of financials
Reviews and reconciles accounts, journal entries and financial statements
Ensures integrity of the accounting department's work
Oversees daily accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and month‑end/year‑end close
Helps prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review
Coordinate with and support internal and external auditors by providing information and documentation
Coordinate and lead the annual physical inventory process
Other activities as assigned
Compliance
Ensures all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and accounting standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
7+ years of experience as an accountant in finance department experience.
3+ years in a leadership role on a finance team.
3-4 years public accounting experience.
CPA/CMA preferred or working toward certification.
Experience working in finance at a manufacturing‑based organization preferred.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proven player/coach leadership style while managing systems and processes.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Experience with NetSuite a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.
Ability to balance tactical execution with strategic process improvement in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Reporting Line: Reports to: Controller
