The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations, manages and mentors staff, and ensures financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.

Reports To: Controller
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Oversees the work of accounting staff
- Provides training
- Offers guidance and support to accounting team and department leaders
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department
- Timely communications with Controller and Department Leaders
Accounting Operations
- Ensures accuracy of financials
- Reviews and reconciles accounts, journal entries and financial statements
- Ensures integrity of the accounting department's work
- Oversees daily accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and month‑end/year‑end close
- Helps prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review
- Coordinate with and support internal and external auditors by providing information and documentation
- Coordinate and lead the annual physical inventory process
- Other activities as assigned
Compliance
- Ensures all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 7+ years of experience as an accountant in finance department experience.
- 3+ years in a leadership role on a finance team.
- 3-4 years public accounting experience.
- CPA/CMA preferred or working toward certification.
- Experience working in finance at a manufacturing‑based organization preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proven player/coach leadership style while managing systems and processes.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Ability to balance tactical execution with strategic process improvement in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
