About The Role The Brand Finance Manager supports the Tequila team with forecasting, analysis, budgeting, initiative, and strategic planning to support the achievement of North American Market objectives. The role has high visibility across Marketing and Finance leadership, providing analytical insights to the Tequila SVP and Leadership Team as well as cross‑functional Finance senior leadership.
The key objective is to own and lead the financial agenda for the Tequila portfolio, over $1.6 B in NSV and $230 M in A&P, working with marketing and finance teams to produce insightful analysis and performance‑driven recommendations. The role reports to the Director of Tequila and Central A&P for US Spirits.
Brand Finance owns and drives forward‑looking planning and financial analysis to deliver accurate and timely forecasts in line with business requirements and designated timeframes. You provide hands‑on support to ensure all key financial deliverables are met and build strong relationships across finance and non‑finance partners.
Context / Scope
Financial and strategic business partner for Tequila (specifically, Don Julio, Deleon, Astral & 21 Seeds)
Plays a meaningful role in crafting the company's long‑term sustainable growth strategy while also focusing on near‑term brand performance
Provides financial oversight of A&P brand budgets
Supervises current brand performance and key drivers of growth
Charged with partnering with cross‑functional teams to model future brand performance and value potential growth drivers
Leads and contributes to coordinated business planning initiatives for US Spirits
Requires the individual to excel functionally and build effective working relationships across the commercial and brand teams at all levels of the organization
Collaborates with M&E/Data Analytics/RGM team to ensure that the brand team identifies and brings to bear useful insights
Role Responsibilities
Lead Portfolio Strategy process for Tequila, developing a framework, tools, templates, and analyses to synthesize portfolio projections and develop insights (25%)
Lead and drive building blocks and the financial elements of the annual brand planning process across the Tequila Category (15%)
Assess financial performance (analyzing at all P&L items down to operating profit), provide business insights, and develop scenario plans (15%)
Partner with Brand teams to coordinate/prepare/facilitate quarterly brand plan reviews (5%)
Lead the 10‑year Tequila portfolio forecasting process to shape the long‑term liquid and growth strategy (5%)
Assess investment opportunities to ensure they align with overall strategy and financial targets, while developing return on investment analyses to evaluate programs, opportunities, and cost‑savings initiatives (10%)
Drive efficiency initiatives to ensure effective allocation of resources and efficient use of investments by brand (5%)
Conduct assessment of potential brand impairments to evaluate asset value and financial impact (5%)
Excel at cutting through ambiguity and act as a critical thought partner to the Marketing and Innovation Leadership Team and SVP Finance US Spirits (5%)
Support SVP in ad‑hoc projects including but not limited to US Strategy, portfolio optimisation, and performance management (10%)

Annual Integrated Business Plan Growth Building Blocks and Investment Allocation
Development, compilation and communication of brand performance, market assessments, competitive reviews, and other industry and portfolio strategy related insights and summaries
Insightful business performance management analysis and generation of improvement opportunities
Transform ideas that may range from market insights and competitor performance to creative investments and growth models into financial projections
Provide brand growth modelling, profitability analyses, and scenario planning
Experience / Skills Required
5+ years of relevant business experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. MBA and/or recognized accounting qualification preferred
Outstanding analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skills
Capacity to communicate sophisticated ideas in simple understandable terms
Ability to balance strategy and drive to execution
Strong interpersonal skills with a validated ability to collaborate with various partners, build relationships, and influence across a large matrix organization
