Job Summary Prepares patients for and conducts routine neurodiagnostic procedures, such as neonatal exams, at the bedside and in critical care units across all ages. Collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results and assists other senior technologists or medical staff with complex recordings.

Registered EEG Technologist certification – preferred

Position Schedule Dayshift – Monday through Friday – 3 12‑hour shifts per week (6:30 am–7:00 pm)

Key Responsibilities

Performs all neurodiagnostic procedures as assigned in at least one modality in accordance with the established department and hospital policies and procedures.

Demonstrates competency in performing procedures on all ages under general supervision.

Assists to identify patient and family learning needs and provides pertinent information regarding the procedure that is appropriate for age and level of learning to the patient and/or family.

Additional duties may be assigned.

Technical Capabilities

Patient Evaluation – limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience in simple patient evaluations; capable of identifying health risks and patient needs.

Medical Terminology & Documentation – sufficient fundamental proficiency to demonstrate medical terminology and documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

Equipment Maintenance – sufficient fundamental proficiency to maintain equipment and ensure parts inventory is sufficient.

Diagnostic Testing – proficiency in diagnostic testing in practical applications; possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience.

Certifications Registered EEG Technologist – American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists.

Work Experience Relevant work experience: minimum 2 years.

Education High School Diploma or GED.
