Position: Full‑time Housekeeping Associate – Environmental Services Team Key Responsibilities
Perform housekeeping functions to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents.
Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization at all times.
Collect, clean, redistribute and properly sort, wash and dry the community laundry in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Maintain laundry equipment and supplies in proper condition.
Accomplish work in the priority order set by the supervisor.
Attend in‑service training and education sessions as assigned.
Perform specific duties assigned by the supervisor.
Hospitality Focus
Greet residents, employees and guests warmly by name and with a smile.
Treat everyone with courteous respect.
Anticipate resident, employee and guest needs and act accordingly.
Listen and respond enthusiastically in a timely manner.
Hold ourselves and one another accountable.
Value and embrace differences.
Show residents, employees and guests that they are important.
Ask "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
Maintain high levels of professionalism in conduct and appearance at all times.
Pay attention to details.
Qualifications
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
Commercial laundry experience desirable but not required.
Ability to process 50–100 pounds of laundry at a time.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions Moderate to heavy physical effort for 80% of the workday, including repetitive folding movements and strenuous pulling movements. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently, push or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop 90% of the workday. May be exposed to communicable diseases from contaminated linens, unpleasant odors, high heat and laundry chemicals.
