Overview
Team Sheeper, Inc. is headquartered in Menlo Park, CA. We also have additional locations in Belle Haven Pool and Palo Alto (Rinconada Pool).
The Menlo Park site offers swim lessons for children and adults, a youth swim team, triathlete training, aqua‑fit, masters swim, and seasonal camps.
We are looking for year‑round lifeguards to join our Menlo Park team.
Lifeguards can work as little as 10 hours per week or as many as 30 hours per week.
If you are not currently a certified lifeguard we will provide paid training.
Responsibilities
Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility
Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency
Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service
Perform various maintenance and cleaning duties as directed to keep the facility clean and safe
Follow the emergency action plan and procedures established for emergencies
Carry out other duties as assigned

Requirements
Current lifeguard, first aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications preferred
Must be able to swim 150 ft freestyle or breaststroke followed immediately by 2 minutes of hands‑free treading, and then 50 ft freestyle or breaststroke.
Additionally, retrieve a 10 lb. brick from the bottom of the pool
Must be a minimum of 15 years of age
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
Must be self‑disciplined, responsible and alert
Assertive, courteous, and professional behavior
Excellent communication skills
Punctual
Compensation Details Hourly wage: $20–$26
