The purpose of this position is to perform a full range of police officer and emergency response functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs special investigations, interviews and interrogates suspects and witnesses, and investigates major violations and accidents.
Enforces laws and ordinances by writing tickets, making arrests, serving subpoenas, and answering citizen complaints.
Patrols assigned district, including streets, neighborhoods, and businesses and answers calls for service.
Prepares reports, search warrants, documents and incident files.
Performs field operations by conducting surveillance, organizing and directing officers and law enforcement agencies, and executing search and arrest warrants.
Attends preliminary trial meetings and testifies in court if necessary.
Perform supervisory duties in absence of Sergeant.
Supplemental Functions:
Performs other similar duties as required.
