Job Summary The Lead Sous Chef is a kitchen leader responsible for managing all culinary aspects of the restaurant, assisting the executive chef, and ensuring food quality and service standards. The position is full‑time and in the winter season 2025/2026.
Job Specifications
Starting wage: $22.00/hr – $24.23/hr
Minimum age: 18
Housing available
Full‑time hours
Responsibilities
Assist the executive chef with day‑to‑day restaurant operations.
Write daily menus, place orders, and receive shipments.
Teach culinary techniques to kitchen staff and schedule work shifts.
Supervise kitchen staff and maintain food safety and quality controls.
Manage kitchen budget and food cost control.
Create a positive team atmosphere and lead by example.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited culinary program or apprenticeship, or five years supervisory experience in a hotel or resort.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Professional communication skills; ability to write and produce menus.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
