MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Software Engineer III shall provide support services to the customer base within the Sensing and Information Operations (SIO) Integrated Product Team (IPT), NIWC Atlantic Expeditionary Warfare Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Utilize CMMI, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207:2017 to plan, develop and create high quality software. The contractor shall provide all applicable software source code and associated executable software developed in support of development efforts. - Develop and deliver software products designed in multiple programming languages to include the following software languages: Visual Basic, Visual Basic.Net (VB.NET), JSON for Visual Basic (VB-JSON), Visual Basic Scripting (VBScript), Install Shield, Structured Query Language (SQL), SQL Stored Procedures JAVA, C, C++, and C#, XML, PowerShell, Linux, RedHat and Python. - Integrate software baselines using standardized integration and imaging tools to include: Workstation Configuration Center (WCC), Banner Classification Manager, Universal Windows Platform (UWP), PowerShell, Windows PE (WinPE) (Software System Recovery Tool (SSRT) and Macrium), Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM),Windows Imaging File Format (WIM), and the Microsoft System Preparation Tool (Sysprep). - Develop and deliver software products utilizing Model View View Model (MVVM), Windows Communications Foundation (WCF),Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Visual Studio - Studio Developer Tools, Windows 11, Entity Framework and Windows Server 2012/2016. - Provide software ready for delivery on CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/other removable media and future digital repositories to be imported into the Configuration Management System CMPro. - Employ agile SCRUM methodology approach to software development, to include a defined sprint schedule, daily stand-ups, product backlog reviews, and sprint demonstrations. Priorities and schedules shall be identified, tracked, and maintained in a build plan through Government oversight. - Track core agile metrics such as sprint length, velocity, and task burn down rates as well as report manpower level of support and related personnel changes. - Perform software license management, planning, tracking, and distribution, to include associated documents and interaction with software vendors, Program Representatives, Marine Corps Software Enterprise License Management System (MCSELMS), and Marine Corps Common Hardware Suite (MCHS). The contractor shall use the Government's DoN Application and Database Management System (DADMS) system for software verification. The contractor shall also support organic program personnel for generation and manipulation of baseline management documents (Engineering Change Proposals) within the CMPro application.

Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems); and shall possess Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification. Experience: Ten (10) years with Masters or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs which may include database maintenance within an application area. Individual shall have experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
