Job Summary:

The Distribution Associate 1 provides routine logistic / distribution support to the Inventory Replenishment Division, Distribution Section, and will be responsible for the allocation of all products coming into the Company.

Essential Job Functions: Track all incoming shipments from Vendors, Wismettac Japan, and other third-party clients to ensure that all products are received and ready for distribution to other branch warehouses. Collaborate with freight forwarders to schedule container shipments/ monitor and manage the scheduling of containers and negotiate price schedules. Scheduling third-party truck companies, arranging pick up and drop offs, and scheduling loading dock use of mechanized equipment such as forklifts. Prepares transportation of products, enhancement to existing system, and problem resolution. Defines the project scope, business and division distribution requirement, and cost /benefit analysis, and makes recommendations on improvement. Provide professional service to branch locations who place or inquire about orders, stock status, shipping and delivery, and prices, or who voice concerns about products or services. Attempt to resolve all matters on a timely basis. Refer product complaints to employees responsible for complaint handling. Checking and verifying shipping records, handling questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages, and addressing any problems with inventory control. Respond to Branch, third-party trucking company, and outside warehouse inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations. Responds to internal and external inquiries concerning shipments and/or issue resolutions. May assist warehouse associates with duties including but not limited to operating loading unloading vehicles, preparing goods and materials, and processing receipts, inventory, etc. Perform other related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Will be detail-orientated, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment. Effectively applies knowledge of job and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments Knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal skills in working and communicating with diverse employees at all levels of the organization. Skills in keyboarding and in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database management computer software packages. Effective communication skills internally and externally via phone, email, and in person. Assemble, sort, and/or distribute documents, supplies, and/or materials/items. Deals with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Follow written and/or oral instructions. Speak clearly, concisely, and effectively. Ability to use Oracle ERP system. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints; principles, practices, and procedures of an office environment. Ability to use the telephone in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to speak, write, and read English. Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and effectively.
