Overview
General Position Summary
The Mechanic is responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on AIS Infrastructure's construction and industrial equipment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation and optimal performance of the equipment. The Mechanic must possess a strong knowledge of mechanical systems and adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on construction and industrial equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system problems.
- Replace faulty parts and components, ensuring proper installation and calibration.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
Required Job Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Education, Knowledge & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or training in mechanical or automotive technology is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in the construction or industrial sector.
- Knowledge of construction equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and computerized systems is a plus.
Working Environment & Conditions
- Work primarily in a maintenance shop or field environment.
- Potential hazards include working around heavy machinery, exposure to loud noises, and working at heights.
- Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
- Flexible work schedule may be required, including weekends and evenings.
- Travel to job sites may be necessary.

- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools and software.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Customer service skills when interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
