Overview

The operator will use large power construction machinery—skid steer, end dump, bulldozers, graders, excavators—to excavate, move and grade earth on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction machinery safely and productively.
• Excavate, move, and grade earth as directed.
• Perform daily maintenance and complete equipment checklists.
• Attend morning huddles and toolbox talks with foremen and superintendents.
• Align machines and coordinate with other crew members using hand signals.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials with available machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Knowledge of construction safety and job site procedures.
