The School of Communication at Florida State University seeks a Specialized Teaching Faculty to join its Digital Media Production program starting in August 2026. We seek candidates who can teach undergraduate and graduate foundational courses in media writing and video production, as well as specialized courses in one or more of the following areas: graphics and animation, video post-production, and audio production. The successful candidate will also have expertise and experience in non-fiction storytelling and production, which could take any variety of forms, such as documentary, journalism, reality television, podcasting, or client-based production. The position includes teaching a 3/3 course load over the fall and spring semesters. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a strong ability to mentor and collaborate with talented students on "real world creative projects that achieve visibility, impact, and acclaim. Key Responsibilities: Teach six courses per academic year. Mentor and collaborate with students in creative practice. Contribute to the development of the Digital Media Production program curriculum and production facilities. Engage in professional development, including staying current with trends and advancements in the field, and taking part in professional organizations and training opportunities. Participate in Department, College, University, and community service activities as needed. Qualifications

Academic doctorate or master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization, or equivalent qualifications based on extensive professional experience. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred. Contact Info
