Job Title: Research Faculty I, 12 Month Salaried (School of Information). Location: Tallahassee, FL. Regular, Full-Time. Job ID: 61330. Department: The School of Information | The College of Communication & Information. Responsibilities
Research : Develop and apply natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to healthcare data, including electronic health records, social media, and biomedical literature. Research Support : Support the operation of FSU Health Research Connection and the Health Informatics services of FSU Clinical and Translational Science Award. Collaboration : Work closely with a team of researchers and faculty members across Florida State University and other institutions to design and conduct studies aimed at improving healthcare outcomes and advancing clinical research through the application of informatics. Publication : Collaborate with researchers and faculty members to publish research results in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Communication : Communicate research findings to the broader scientific community through conference presentations and other means. Grant Preparation : Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and other funding applications. Mentorship : Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the eHealth Lab. Qualifications
Academic doctorate or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties, with a demonstrated record of achievement in research. Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in computer science, information science, informatics, biomedical informatics, or a related field. Strong knowledge and experience in natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning. At least 2 first-author papers in highly recognized data science and informatics journals or conference proceedings. Contact Info
