Our sourcing and procurement team works to ensure efficient acquisition of services relating to Global Payroll and Legal services, as well as subscription and memberships that enable the Company’s business to perform their functions and succeed in meeting the enterprise strategic goals and objectives. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.

The Associate Director, Professional Services Procurement leads the delivery of transformational sourcing across the strategic business portfolio associated with but not limited to: Global Payroll Services, Legal Services including Lobbyist, Memberships and Subscriptions. Under the guidance of Director, Professional Services Procurement, the Associate Director plays an important role in the development & execution of sourcing strategies, acts as a primary relationship manager within the assigned set of suppliers, and drives category management, stakeholder management, contract management and risk management within the identified category areas.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain strong relationships with key global business leaders in the stakeholder community, other corporate functions and our key suppliers, while collaborating closely with global sourcing and procurement colleagues to align and drive strategic business priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

Drive transformational procurement strategies to enable the category strategies

Collaborate with Finance, HR and Legal Operations team to manage preferred suppliers

Drive regional and international sourcing strategies and category/contract management

Provide guidance to regional & local teams in sourcing of local programs to ensure their competitiveness and compliance

Lead the Payroll/Legal Operations Supply Strategy Council

Stakeholder Coordination

With Procurement Colleagues:

Participate/lead teams of global, regional & local representatives to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, ensuring alignment on key initiatives and priorities for broader Payroll/Legal services categories.

With Business Partners:

Identify and engage critical stakeholders and partners to define and meet or exceed business requirements, manage budgetary savings targets, and act as a trusted advisor to a wide range of business partners.

With Suppliers:

Build and manage relationships with Global and Enterprise-wide suppliers, manage key supplier performance against business requirements, ensure inclusion of diversity suppliers, and support major regional supplier relationships.

Key Activities Strategy Creation Target:

Definition and planning of high-level objectives targeted to long-term results that will impact the way our Company views and purchases this category.

Typical Activities:

Meetings with stakeholders to discuss SEP approach; participation in workshops and meetings during SEP; dialogue and meetings with Regional Procurement; participation in Market Intelligence; data gathering and analysis; other activities that contribute to fundamentally change or effect the status quo in pursuit of a long‑term competitive advantage.

Strategy Execution Target:

Implementation of tactical plans or projects directly linked to a strategy created during the sourcing process.

Typical Activities:

Development, rollout and execution of RFIs/RFPs and direct negotiations pursuant to supplier selection aligned with strategic goals; process re‑engineering in cooperation with the business to modify or create processes in connection with strategic goals.

Operations Target:

Drive ongoing procurement activities for transactions and projects not related to SEP or strategy creation/execution.

Typical Activities:

Contract review/negotiations; PO issue resolution; creation of new vendors; supplier issue resolution; technology/process execution; data gathering and analysis leading to short/medium term insights; all transactions not related to SEP or strategy creation/execution ensuring continuity of the business function and sustainability of procurement.

Supplier Relationship Management Target:

Design, planning and implementation of actions and projects in connection with SEP or strategic goals to develop, improve, sustain or reposition our Company’s relationship with critical/strategic suppliers.

Typical Activities:

Development/participation in supplier forums, market organizations and conferences; dialogues and meetings with business partners and suppliers; review, analysis and negotiation of contracts; data gathering/analysis to generate insights; drive supplier performance management in the identification and collection of SLAs and discussion with suppliers and stakeholders of those SLAs and continuous performance improvement.

Education Bachelor’s Degree required. (Business, Engineering, or similar Discipline)

Preferred

MBA or similar post‑degree qualification

Green or Black Belt certification or willingness to work toward certification

Skills & Experience

Minimum of 10 years Post‑Qualification experience in Finance and/or Procurement with Payroll and Legal experience desired

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

Experience of working in a matrixed organization and managing dotted line reports

High degree of integrity and personal ethics required representing our Company with external partners

Resilient and focused, able to manage competing priorities

Effective team player with collaborative focus

Experienced Negotiator with ability to interpret contract clauses and arbitrate on issues

Strong Project Management skills

Salary Range $126,500.00 – $199,100.00

Benefits Comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, healthcare and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, including 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, compassionate and sick days.

Work Arrangement Hybrid work model: three total days on site per week, Monday–Thursday, with Friday remote.
