Associate Director, Professional Services Procurement
Base pay range: $126,500.00/yr - $199,100.00/yr
Our sourcing and procurement team works to ensure efficient acquisition of services relating to Global Payroll and Legal services, as well as subscriptions and memberships that enable the company to perform their functions and meet enterprise strategic goals. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.
Overview The Associate Director, Professional Services Procurement leads the delivery of transformational sourcing across the strategic business portfolio associated with but not limited to Global Payroll Services, Legal Services including Lobbyist, Memberships and Subscriptions. Under the guidance of Director, Professional Services Procurement, the role develops and executes sourcing strategies, serves as a primary relationship manager within assigned suppliers, and drives category management, stakeholder management, contract management, and risk management within identified category areas. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain strong relationships with key global business leaders and collaborate with global sourcing and procurement colleagues to align and drive strategic business priorities.
Responsibilities
Drive transformational procurement strategies to enable the category strategies
Collaborate with Finance, HR and Legal Operations to manage preferred suppliers
Drive regional and international sourcing strategies and category/contract management
Provide guidance to regional & local teams in sourcing of local programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance
Lead the Payroll/Legal Operations Supply Strategy Council
Additionally, coordinate internal activities across three stakeholder groups:
With Procurement Colleagues: participate/lead global, regional & local teams to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans and ensure alignment on initiatives for Payroll/Legal services categories
With Business Partners: identify and engage stakeholders to meet business requirements and manage budgetary savings targets; understand 1-3-5 year strategic requirements; advise and influence strategic decisions while challenging the status quo when needed
With Suppliers: build relationships with global and enterprise-wide suppliers, manage performance against business requirements, ensure diversity supplier inclusion where applicable, support major regional supplier relationships
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Engineering, or similar discipline)
Preferred
MBA or similar post-degree qualification
Green Belt or Black Belt certification or willingness to pursue
Skills & Experience
A minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in Finance and/or Procurement, with Payroll and Legal experience desired
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Experience in a matrixed organization with dotted-line reporting
High integrity and strong ethics in representing the company
Resilient, able to manage competing priorities
Collaborative team player
Experienced negotiator with ability to interpret contract clauses and arbitrate issues
Strong project management skills
Strategic thinker and self-starter
