Job Description

The Fraud Prevention Unit Manager will provide on‑site leadership at each Center, serving as a subject matter expert in fraud prevention and pre‑adjudication support. The role oversees Fraud Prevention Unit analysts, ensuring accurate research, analysis, and reporting on visa cases while supporting the Department of State (DOS) and other federal agencies. The Manager collaborates with training, quality control, and center management to develop and document Fraud Prevention Unit procedures and investigations, and assists with intelligence sharing across government entities.

Compensation & Benefits Estimated starting salary: Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Manage and provide guidance to FPU analysts performing research and analysis on visa cases.

Assist in training analysts and developing formal FPU investigations and procedures.

Conduct research, analysis, and prepare written reports related to visa fraud and pre‑adjudication processes.

Serve as the primary point of contact for DOS and other federal agencies on visa case inquiries.

Exchange information with Embassies, Consulates, USCIS, and other U.S. government agencies.

Collaborate with center management, training, and quality control teams to maintain operational excellence.

Assist with intelligence requests and provide pre‑adjudication support.

Travel as required for training, familiarization, and coordination purposes.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in fraud prevention, investigations, or pre‑adjudication support, preferably in a government or federal environment.

Strong analytical, research, and report‑writing skills.

Experience managing and mentoring a team of analysts.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and investigative/tracking tools.

Ability to travel as required for training and operational needs.

Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
