General Description
At the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office, we strive to provide quality legal services to state agencies to effect better outcomes for Wyoming citizens. Attorneys in our office develop their legal skills in a collaborative environment while doing interesting and meaningful work and maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.
The Wyoming Attorney General's Office is seeking an attorney to join its Civil Division. The attorney in this position will provide legal advice and litigation services to multiple state agencies, which may include the Public Service Commission, Board of Nursing, Enterprise Technology Services, and multiple licensing agencies. This position may also provide additional legal support to our office, including reviewing agency rules and reviewing non‑profit dissolutions. The attorney will also perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the Civil Division and the Attorney General's Office.
The Attorney General's office provides attorneys an opportunity to receive mentorship, develop expertise, and excel in a dynamic and collegial work environment. Our office also offers monthly in‑house training opportunities that qualify for continuing legal education credit.

Essential Functions
Analyze complicated legal and factual issues and present complicated issues clearly in written and oral form.
Review, respond, and advise the agency as to inquiries, complaints, and other communications.
Conduct legal research to provide day‑to‑day advice.
Present legal conclusions and advice in various formats, including legal documents, oral presentations, and formal and informal legal opinions.
Advise agency clients with respect to relevant statutes and administrative procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
