Description
We are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing anesthesia services to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery. You will be involved in a variety of medical projects, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
As an Anesthesiologist, your role is essential in the operating room, as you will be responsible for administering anesthesia, monitoring patients' vital signs, managing pain, and overseeing patients' recovery post-surgery. Your attention to detail, quick decision-making skills, and ability to work under pressure are key to the success of each surgical procedure.
Responsibilities:
Administer various types of anesthesia before and during surgical procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
Manage patients' airways and assist with breathing, if necessary.
Oversee patients' recovery from anesthesia and manage post-operative pain.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
Respond quickly and effectively to any complications during anesthesia.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to anesthesia services.
Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in the field of Anesthesiology.
Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Anesthesiology.
Valid state medical license to practice Anesthesiology.
Demonstrated experience in administering various types of anesthesia.
Strong understanding of anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Call Requirement: 1 overnight shift per week, 6-8 weekends per year
Will cover multiple facilities, including a Level II Trauma Center
Open to various skillsets, including cardiac, high-risk OB, etc.
Care team model with CRNAs
Mix of independent cases and supervision
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
