Maintenance Mechanic – Dignity Health
Join Dignity Health as a Maintenance Mechanic, responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with related equipment.
Job Summary and Responsibilities The Mechanical Maintenance position is under the direct supervision of the Facilities Operations Manager and the Director of Support Services. Duties may include:
Demonstrate ability to assess/interpret age‑specific data.
Inspect and stow compressed gas bottles for proper and safe storage.
Stay familiar with the medical center’s policies and procedures on asbestos.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with televisions, beds, and air‑system components of laundry equipment; repair in a timely manner.
Work with television as needed to correct television problems.
Accomplish all trouble calls in the call sheet without skipping calls and log the time taken to troubleshoot and complete each call.
Job Requirements
One (1) year of electro‑mechanical experience and good knowledge of hand tools.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Ability to analyze electro‑mechanical problems and determine repairs needed; ability to perform those repairs.
Versatility to fill other related positions as applicable.
California Driver’s License.
