Are you wired for reliability? Do you see downtime as a puzzle to solve before it starts? Can you coach a team, juggle a schedule, and still spot a safety risk from 30 feet away? If so, you might be the Maintenance and Asset Reliability Manager we’re looking for.

The challenge In a fast-paced food production environment, you’ll lead maintenance operations that protect product quality, people, and performance. You will guide technicians, plan work that won’t derail production, and partner with the Director to raise our reliability bar month after month.

What success looks like

A preventive maintenance program that measurably reduces downtime and improves equipment efficiency.

Seamless scheduling and coordination of maintenance tasks, with minimal production impact.

Visible safety leadership: OSHA compliance, zero shortcuts, and a culture of accountability.

Audit‑ready compliance across industry, local, state, and federal regulations.

Right parts, right time: smart purchasing, price negotiation, and tight inventory control.

Modern, proactive maintenance strategy—co‑created with the Director and grounded in continuous improvement.

A cohesive team: fair performance evaluations, clear schedules, thoughtful hiring, and timely corrective actions when needed.

Swift, well‑coordinated complex repairs, including effective subcontractor and contract management.

Clear, concise maintenance reporting that drives decisions and closes the loop on issues.

Every person on the floor follows GMP, Food Safety, and Plant Safety—and speaks up immediately about any Food Safety or Quality concern.

Flexibility to take on additional assignments from your Manager.

Your toolkit

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

5+ years leading maintenance teams, preferably in food manufacturing.

Expertise across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; strong troubleshooting instincts.

Leadership that blends coaching, communication, and accountability.

Fluency with preventive maintenance software/CMMS.

Working knowledge of food manufacturing safety and sanitation rules.

Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively under deadlines.

Work environment and physical demands Expect to move. A lot. You’ll cover the floor to inspect assets and supervise work, often standing and sometimes on ladders or stairs. Hands‑on tasks require dexterity—turning screws, operating equipment, handling small parts—and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Conditions vary: noise, hot or cold zones, wet or humid areas, and at times fumes, dust, or airborne particles. Some tasks may involve heights or confined spaces. Through it all, you’ll model safety—PPE on, protocols followed, eyes always scanning for risk.
