Entry Level Electrical Engineer (Energy/Power) role at Jacobs. Condition assessment of existing systems Feasibility and master plan studies Detailed design and construction oversight for power generation facilities, distribution systems and substations Produce electrical calculations, reports, and construction document packages for bidding and construction Model complex power systems to evaluate load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash hazards; develop relay protection strategies Design activities including lightning protection systems and grounding Develop procurement specifications for electrical equipment and materials for construction projects Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program Strong analytical, conceptual, technical writing, and presentation skills Ideally, previous relevant intern experience Experience with 3D modeling/viewing software (AutoCAD, CADWorx, Revit, NavisWorks) System modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar software Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future Pay and Benefits
The base pay range is $61,800.00/year to $96,690.00/year. Within the range, pay is determined by location, skills, experience, and education. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 401(k), stock purchase options, and eligibility for deferred compensation plans. Jacobs also offers an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, caregiver leave, and potential bonuses or stock-based rewards where applicable.
