Under direct supervision, the Fiscal Analyst will perform professional accounting duties related to the payment process for UST sites in accordance with State and Federal guidelines and requirements. Communicates with internal and external customers on activities related to UST sites.

Job Duties

Process invoices for assessment and/or corrective action activities.

Responsible for entering invoices into epermitting within three days or receipt. This will include working with Project Managers and Contractors for accurate invoices and addenda. Processing to include reviewing, tracking, working request for reviews, and returning invoices that cannot be processed. Responsible for adjusting purchase order (PO) line items and fund reservation (FR) line items in SCEIS per the overall cost agreement and/or addendum. Print all related paperwork and review the invoice package for accuracy. Populate all paid and returned invoices to applicable excel worksheets for tracking. Forward the invoice package for payment in SCEIS to assigned analyst.

Assist internal and external customers with oral or written inquiries regarding the status of payment. Responsible for payment issues, including research and resolution.

Responsible for maintaining cost recovery spreadsheet and supporting cost recovery activities.

Perform other duties as assigned. Including projects requested by peers, Division, and Bureau Management and work as a backup in coworkers' absence.

Qualifications

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.

A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Additional Requirements

Must be knowledgeable of the principles of accounting and auditing.

Must possess strong computer skills and experience with all Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Must have the ability to complete work and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, records, and reports.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Must be detail oriented.

Experience with SCEIS and/or epermitting a plus.
