Your Team’s Impact FactSet’s Deep Sector Oil & Gas team delivers critical fundamental analysis and sector‑specific content to a diverse client base including energy analysts, investment banks, private equity firms, oil and gas producers, and midstream companies. We drive innovation and shape market‑relevant analytics for current and future energy challenges, centered on the highest standards of customized solutions and insightful data products.

What You'll Do As Senior Manager of Analytics, you will serve as the leader and public face of our market intelligence offerings focusing on crude oil and natural gas liquids. You will direct and contribute to timely, insightful monthly and weekly reports that illuminate both global and North American markets for crude oil and natural gas liquids. Our research provides actionable analysis of near‑and medium‑term supply and demand drivers, commodity flows, midstream infrastructure, refining economics, hedging activity, and the impact of capital flows, macroeconomic shifts, and geopolitical developments.

In this role, you will cultivate and support a collaborative team of market analysts and data scientists—encouraging professional growth and ensuring the delivery of rigorous, data‑driven market insights. You will collaborate on the evolution of our analytics products and act as a knowledgeable advisor to clients, sharing regular briefings on emerging market trends, critical risks, and strategic opportunities with multiple audiences.

Success in this position requires advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and hands‑on experience with SQL and Python for data interrogation, modeling, and forecasting. You bring a passion for uncovering market insights in complex, data‑rich environments, complemented by exceptional communication skills and the inclusive leadership needed to support and strengthen our team and products.

Responsibilities

Directly oversee and contribute to the production of monthly and weekly market reports, ensuring accuracy, analytical rigor, and timely delivery of all insights.

Develop, refine, and maintain forecasting models, supply/demand balances, and price outlooks for crude oil and natural gas liquids.

Coach and support the professional growth of market analysts and data scientists, fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment.

Act as a subject matter expert for oil and NGL markets, providing market briefings and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and industry audiences as appropriate.

Enforce best practices in data analysis and modeling.

Engage directly with clients to understand their challenges and answer questions.

Lead the development and rollout of new analytical products, tools, or methodologies that enhance our research impact and differentiate our offering in the marketplace.

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Energy Management, or related field.

10+ years of crude oil market analysis experience, ideally within industry or at an established consulting and analytics firm specializing in energy.

5+ years of experience leading research teams and developing junior analysts.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience using Python or SQL for data analysis and modeling (Power BI experience a plus).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

The budgeted salary range for this position in the State of Colorado is $110,000 - $155,000.
