Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in need. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of various medical procedures and surgeries, making a significant impact on patient care and outcomes. As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse assignments, gaining valuable experience in different clinical settings.
Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia during medical procedures and surgeries.
Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients in the recovery room.
Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records.
Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
Adhere to all relevant medical protocols, guidelines, and regulations.
Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology and incorporate best practices into daily work.
Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Flexibility to adapt to different healthcare settings and schedules.
Schedule: 2-3 procedure days and 2-3 clinic days per week
Rotating beeper call shifts
Setting: Outpatient
Daily Volume: 16 procedures or 22 clinic visits
Support staff available
Paid travel & expenses
