Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in need of additional support. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of various medical procedures and surgeries, making a significant impact on patient care and outcomes. As a Locum MD or DO in Anesthesiology, you will be involved in diverse medical projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care. Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure their safety and comfort. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop anesthetic care plans. Manage and treat any complications that may arise during anesthesia. Ensure all equipment and medications are prepared and functioning properly. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to anesthesia care. Participate in patient assessments and consultations to determine the most appropriate anesthesia approach. Stay updated on advancements in anesthesia techniques and technologies. Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in Anesthesiology. Valid state medical license to practice as a physician. Proven experience working as an Anesthesiologist in a clinical setting. Excellent knowledge of anesthesia procedures and protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8's, 10's, and 12's Weekday and weekend beeper and OB call shifts Patient Volume: 32 per day Must be proficient in cardiac procedures Cases: General, Cardiac, OB, Peds, GI, Endo, Cath Lab Care Team Model 33 Anesthetizing Sites Supervision - 1:3 EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses Ongoing coverage Cardiac fellowship or case logs from the last year with at least 1 open heart and 1 adult case
