– Lakeway, TX. Facility: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Lakeway. Department: Emergency Dept. Status: Full Time, 36 hrs per week. Shift: Night Shift, 7pm–7am with self-scheduling and rotating weekends. Level IV (4 trauma center but practice as Level III due to neuro surgeries with 24/7 neurosurgeon on call). The 23-bed Emergency Department is equipped to treat critical and life-threatening conditions in patients of all ages. The department has the support of Baylor Scott & White's multidisciplinary team, providing access to specialists in a full range of care to ensure quality medical care when you need it most. Board-certified emergency room physicians and trauma-trained nurses Chest Pain Team. STEMI designated center enabled to rapidly treat severe heart attacks in collaboration with area first responders and hospital personnel Resuscitation Center of Excellence for expert treatment of critical issues and post-resuscitation care CalmerKids Certified to ensure pediatric patients have the best patient experience Specialty physicians on call 24 hours a day for general and vascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, and internal medicine Patients cared for here have 24-hour access to laboratory, X-ray and surgical services. Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient\'s response. The RN promotes safe passage for patients by applying knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients through the encounter with minimal complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to health care personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient condition, and staff competencies. RN job is used for RNs in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with 24x7 staffing including on-call off-shift coverage. Examples of areas include GI Lab, Pain Management, Dialysis, Infusion Centers and IV Services. Essential Functions Of The Role
