Overview
Position: RN-Observation Unit PT Nights
Location: Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, 789 Central Avenue (Onsite)
Shift: Night (United States of America)
Hours: 24 hours weekly (part‑time, 6‑hour days)
Job Summary The successful candidate will interpret the nursing care plan, assess patients’ clinical conditions, provide individualized nursing care, and evaluate nursing care for groups of patients while ensuring safe and competent care.
Essential Functions
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
Consult and coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
License: Registered Nurse (RN) – State License required.
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred; Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) preferred; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0–1 year required.
Key Skills: Practical nursing principles, patient care for various age groups, confidentiality, medical terminology, verbal communication, acute patient triage.

Walking frequently (34–66%)
Sitting occasionally (3–33%)
Lifting frequently (35 lbs+ with assisted device)
Carrying frequently (20–35 lbs)
Pushing occasionally, pulling occasionally

Fine manipulation frequently (34–66%)
Vision, hearing, speaking: consistent throughout the shift.

Compensation Hourly Rate: $31.66 – $61.35 Grade: 6NTEMP
