Role Overview Quantiphi is seeking a Functional Data Domain Lead – Insurance to oversee the design, governance, and enablement of high‑quality insurance data across the enterprise. The role works cross‑functionally with business, actuarial, finance, and technology teams to ensure that data related to policies, claims, underwriting, and reinsurance is accurate, consistent, and effectively leveraged for analytics, reporting, and strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage end‑to‑end insurance data management processes, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Partner with insurance, actuarial, and finance teams to understand data needs, pain points, and use cases across the insurance value chain.

Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and architecture teams to design and implement scalable, enterprise‑grade data solutions aligned with business strategies.

Define and implement data standards, governance policies, and quality frameworks for insurance data domains.

Contribute to the development of a technology and data roadmap that supports future insurance business capabilities, reporting, and analytics needs.

Partner with analytics and reporting teams to enable business insights and ensure consistent metric definitions across products and lines of business.

Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in insurance data management, including AI, predictive analytics, and cloud‑based data platforms.

Communicate effectively with business and technology stakeholders regarding project progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies.

Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to interpret complex insurance data and enable data‑driven decision‑making.

Manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic and evolving business environment.

Act as a domain expert, advising on product features, riders, pricing reserves, financial reporting, and hedging strategies.

Possess hands‑on experience with querying and analyzing data using SQL (or equivalent query languages) to explore, validate, and troubleshoot data issues independently.

Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 12+ years of relevant professional experience in insurance data management or related functions.

Strong understanding of insurance data domains, including policy, claims, underwriting, and reinsurance.

Proven experience leading insurance data integration, data governance, and quality initiatives.

Proficiency with SQL and experience analyzing large, complex datasets.

Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical problem‑solving skills.

Other Qualifications

Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.

Experience with data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives.

Experience with core insurance systems such as MG‑ALFA.

Knowledge of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements (STAT, GAAP, IFRS, etc.).

Familiarity with actuarial modeling tools and insurance financial reporting processes.
