Licensed Therapist/Behavioral Health Clinician Community Wellness Ventures (CWV) is a minority-owned business incorporated in the District of Columbia with over 40 years of combined experience in mental health, disability, affordable housing, and community development. Our mission is to improve the well‑being of people with low material wealth through research, policy, and community‑based practice.

CWV was born out of a recognized need for high‑quality behavioral health services and has built a results‑driven pathway to help consumers navigate systems that foster well‑being, capacity building, and behavioral health management.

Position Description Clinicians are responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a diverse caseload including adults, adolescents, and families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict.

Roles

Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients.

Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.

Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.

Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress.

Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to build rapport quickly.

Detail oriented.

Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy.

Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.

Experience, Education and Licensing

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.

Licensing in Washington D.C. (Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychologist).

Current with all state licensing requirements.
