Job Description Clinicians provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a diverse caseload of adults, adolescents, and families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict.
Responsibilities
Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and circumstances.
Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment, and adjust plans as needed.
Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to build rapport quickly.
Detail oriented.
Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy.
Strong time‑management and prioritization skills.
Experience, Education, and Licensing
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
Licensing in DC as one of: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychologist.
Current compliance with all state licensing requirements.
