Senior Project Manager – Power & Energy Project Delivery
At HDR, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support natural gas and renewable energy generation projects, acting as Owner’s Engineer or Advisor on the national Power Generation team.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain positive, proactive client relationships.
Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
Serve as proposal champion/manager, assisting with proposal preparation, reviewing contract terms, and evaluating risks.
Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff.
Coordinate project team and client communications, ensuring deliverables align with expectations.
Monitor project budget and schedule, developing recovery plans as needed.
Track scope of work and identify scope changes.
Train and mentor project team staff on project management and consulting issues.
Guide design or consulting work in the manager’s engineering expertise.
Report project progress to local and regional accounting and operations teams.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of power generation project experience.
Registered Professional Engineer.
PMP certification.
Experience managing simple‑cycle and combined‑cycle EPC projects.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Demonstrated business development skills.
Strong communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and related software.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
10 years of related experience.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience.Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
