Positioned in the Corporate IT Department as a key role, the Application Specialist works as an individual contributor, providing technical expertise, assisting end-users, and influencing decision‑making regarding the use of Dynamics. The role collaborates closely with Site Leadership, Project Managers, Operational Support teams, and external vendors to deliver a high‑quality, stable, and secure ERP solution.
Responsibilities
Serve as System Administrator for Dynamics: support end‑users, address issues and requests, and manage user access and permissions.
Coordinate with external consultants and developers for additional support and customizations.
Stay current with Dynamics updates, communicate new features, and oversee upgrade testing.
Assist with the implementation and education of Microsoft Dynamics for Finance and Operations.
Ensure compliance with SOX and other regulations, participate in internal and external audits, and document changes within the helpdesk system.
Qualifications
Advanced problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills; able to solve complex and unique issues across systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication; able to convey technical content to non‑technical audiences.
Strong analytical capabilities to assess business requirements and propose functional solutions.
Ability to lead and influence others without formal authority.
High degree of self‑motivation, independence, and accountability.
Capable of aligning ERP initiatives with broader business objectives.
Experience in managing vendor relationships and contractor partnerships.
Impacts the achievement of operational, project, or service objectives.
Works independently with minimal guidance.
Communicates complex and technical information with influence across diverse stakeholders.
Anticipates business needs and actively proposes improvements.
Acts as a trusted advisor across technical and business teams.
Education, Knowledge, And Experience
Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
4+ years of experience with Dynamics D365 or AX 2012 in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead ERP initiatives.
In‑depth knowledge of Dynamics AX2012 technologies.
Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Experience in multi‑national, multicultural, and matrixed environments is preferred.
