Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff.
Provide day‑to‑day coaching to ensure staff meet performance standards.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
Assist the Store Manager with action plans addressing store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
Qualifications
No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
5+ years of experience in a similar position or specialization.
Proficient with point‑of‑sale and other in‑store computer systems.
Ability to use judgment to resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems.
Effective communication skills; able to exchange ideas and information with store leadership, associates, and customers.
Job Conditions
Frequently required to remain in an active environment, moving items up to 40 lbs.
Occasional work in a closed location needed.
Ability to communicate clearly with others.
Availability for a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally or in response to business trends.
