Position Information Systems Architect – Health - IT – South Carolina, United States
Salary Base pay range: $55.00/hr - $60.00/hr. This range is provided by TALENT Software Services. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of services and processes, ensuring consistent and secure implementation.
Work with Project Managers and Management to prepare and deliver documentation packages required for state, federal, and/or industry audits and assessments.
Produce high-quality documentation and flowcharts to capture processes and workflows.
Design, organize, and maintain a documentation library.
Provide technical writing and process documentation support for ITSM, Governance, and Technical teams.
Develop standardized process documents supporting ITSM and Technical operations.
Create customer‑ready documentation (to be approved by Admin Strategic Communication) in support of statewide initiatives, including but not limited to Microsoft CoPilot and ChatGPT policies and processes.
Conduct process training sessions in collaboration with ITSM and Governance teams.
Participate in meetings with auditors and assessors, offering professional expertise regarding information security controls and operational procedures.
Assist with agency SCDIS‑200 assessments and compliance activities.
Support Operational and Governance teams by offering guidance and assistance during interview sessions.
Develop, maintain, and update all process and procedure documentation, aligning them to standardized practices per SCDIS‑200 v.2.
Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
Proven work experience in process improvement.
Ability to identify and establish essential IT processes for organizational efficiency.
Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance)
Extensive knowledge of IRS Pub 1075, NIST 800‑53, NIST CSF, ITIL, and CJIS standards.
Experience collaborating with server and endpoint technicians to develop detailed procedures.
Strong ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly through text, diagrams, and flowcharts.
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, detail‑oriented documentation.
Required Education / Certifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
