Michael Kinder & Sons is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Senior Estimator to join our Preconstruction Division. This role is critical in preparing accurate, competitive estimates and proposals for projects ranging from $100K to $100MM across multiple industries-including higher education, industrial, healthcare, nonprofit, and commercial sectors. Key Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates. Interpret drawings, scopes of work, and MKS self-perform specifications. Perform digital quantity take-offs using industry-standard estimating software. Insert and price construction projects using Timberline software. Utilize Procore for subcontractor solicitation, vendor communications, and bid invitations. Develop and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships for accurate, up-to-date pricing. Consult with clients, architects, and subcontractors to align expectations and costs. Create and manage project timelines using Microsoft Project. Strategically plan and problem-solve to minimize conflicts and discrepancies. Assist in developing and refining estimating department processes. Prepare turnover books for project manager transition. Draft complete and detailed written work packages for design-build projects. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Commercial General Contractor experience required; ground-up projects. 7+ years in commercial construction. 4+ years of hands‑on estimating experience. Proficiency with estimating software and digital take‑off tools. In‑depth knowledge of CSI Divisions 0–33 and construction specifications. Strong organizational, writing, and computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word). Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Benefits

Full-time, Monday-Friday Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility based on project deadlines. Location
