Lead Python Etrm Developer

Client- Global Energy Company building a US trading hub Location- New York City Purpose- Client is building a new regional trading hub, with the full backing of a large international energy company. They are in the process of implementing a proprietary ETRM system that is being developed and implemented by a top tier technology consultancy. The client needs to hire an in-house development resource to help with further development and programming needs.

Ideal Candidate- The ideal candidate will be technically proficient with Python and will have worked in an energy trading environment before. This is a great opportunity for a mid to junior level developer to join a start-up at inception and grow with the business.

Required Technical

Experience with Python is ideal. Any other modern OOP language also considered.

Excel programming a plus (Excel object model, event handling, forms, system calls, ODBC)

Business:

Understanding of ETRM / CTRM Systems

Minimum basic knowledge of US Power and Natural Gas businesses

Preferably knowledge of Commodity Deal Lifecycle

Experience of Exchange Trading systems is a bonus

Experience of ICE eConfirm ECM system also a bonus

Education

Minimum of a bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering or like fields of study.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a programmer/developer
