Senior Manager, Business Development - Financial Institutions and Consulting Firms Our client is seeking a

senior business development professional

to lead growth efforts across financial institutions and consulting firms. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving revenue, building long-term client relationships, and selling high-value research or information services.

In this role, you will oversee the full sales cycle—from prospecting and outreach through deal execution and account management—supported by a dedicated associate. The position requires a proactive, hands‑on approach and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

Drive new business development and revenue growth across institutional clients, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, mutual funds, asset managers, investment banks, and consulting firms.

Manage all stages of the sales cycle: prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.

Build strong relationships with senior decision‑makers and key influencers within target accounts.

Partner with internal teams to tailor service offerings that address client‑specific needs.

Execute a targeted outreach strategy through direct calling, personalized email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement.

Maintain detailed knowledge of market trends and competitive offerings to position the firm effectively.

Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher required.

5–15 years of sales or business development experience in consulting, financial services, or expert network/research environments.

Demonstrated success selling B2B or subscription-based services to institutional clients.

Proven ability to engage senior‑level decision-makers and manage complex sales cycles.

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Highly driven, entrepreneurial, and goal‑oriented, with a focus on results and accountability.
