This role is remote in the United States, ideally based in Eastern or Central time zones to align with our global sales team (or open to early morning hours).

What You’ll Do

Manage, grow, and motivate a sales team composed of account executives, customer success, and sales engineers

Develop and execute data‑driven sales strategies to achieve sales targets by generating new business (SMB, mid‑market, and enterprise levels), retaining current customers, and growing existing accounts

Improve and build scalable and repeatable sales processes, playbooks, materials, etc., to ensure the sales team achieves their goals

Up‑level the team’s ability to prospect for new customers, qualify leads, negotiate contracts, and close deals

Collaborate with other functions, such as Marketing and Sales Operations, to ensure a well‑rounded, focused strategy

Stay current with competitors and guide related Company efforts

What You Bring

Experience managing successful sales teams in B2B software companies

Experience selling or building strategies to sell software products for technical user groups

You care about your team and ensure they have the support, coaching, tools, and strategies to meet their quotas.

You understand the importance of the full sales cycle, from new customer acquisition (inbound and outbound) to customer retention and expansion.

You are passionate about building and refining sales processes, strategies, and materials focused on scalability and repeatability.

You base decisions on data but also embrace new ideas and strategies for innovation.

Proven ability to engage others with new ideas.

Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and people skills.

Minimal travel as needed (for example, to trade shows, conferences, or company meetings).

Bonus Skills

Experience managing teams or selling products related to open source software, databases, database management tools, or developer tools

Previous experience in working in an open source project

Experience with HubSpot CRM
