TSC is currently seeking a Principal Software Architect in Aurora, CO, Arlington, VA, or Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on the design of real‑time software, user applications, and user interfaces, with responsibility for leading the design and development of real‑time software that supports new radar and electronic warfare technology.
Responsibilities
Lead software engineers across TSC to develop and implement sustainable software architectures for current and future TSC hardware products.
Support design, implementation, integration, testing, and maintenance of real‑time software on ARM and Intel processors running embedded operating systems.
Work across products and teams to implement a sustainable software architecture and supporting development processes.
Lead by example to enforce architecture, design, and test methodologies.
Support all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities for real‑time software applications, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end‑item development, and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments.
Collaborate within a multi‑discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products.
Work with product owners to define and implement iterative software releases to meet customer deliverables.
Work with program managers in project definition, scoping, staffing selection, and execution of software components.
Work with TSC leadership to manage software IP.
Support corporate efforts to develop common software practices across the company.
Required Qualifications
BS degree and minimum 18 years of industry experience.
Experience with the following areas is required:
Iterative development.
Defining and maintaining software architectures through the product lifecycle.
Working and/or managing software development across multiple physical sites.
Experience delivering software products in USG contracts.
Demonstrated technical leadership and subject matter expertise.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity.
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD clearance.
U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing software product lifecycle on hardware products.
Experience developing and maintaining microservice embedded software solutions.
Experience in real‑time software development.
Experience with radar, SIGINT, and/or electronic warfare product development.
Experience with hardware and software in the loop simulation and test.
Experience with Yocto, Artifactory, Git, JIRA, and Jenkins.
Familiarity with Xilinx’s MPSoC & RFSoC devices.
Familiarity with RF signal chains (mixing, filtering, up/down conversion, etc.).
