Senior Analyst, Debt – Debt Asset Management Team

Overview The Debt Asset Management Team is responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments. The Senior Analyst, Debt will support the asset management team in preserving and creating value in the existing portfolio, and will work with the investment team on origination, underwriting, and execution of real estate debt opportunities across various property types.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of debt investments across various property types.

Review and analyze business plans, leasing activity, and monthly property operating data.

Analyze loan draws to ensure alignment with business plans and leasing parameters.

Liaison with borrowers and Asset Management Team members to review business plan execution and ensure debt covenants are met.

Generate reporting materials to monitor investment performance at the asset level and support portfolio management analytics.

Perform covenant monitoring and credit analysis of potential sponsors/borrowers.

Support loan closing, onboarding to Asset Management, and spearhead loan repayment processes.

Engage in loan origination, financial modeling/underwriting, term sheets, due diligence, loan document review, and closings.

Conduct market research, comparable sale reviews, lease analyses, and sponsor diligence.

Collaborate on due diligence during the closing process and prepare investment memoranda for the debt investment committee.

Professional Experience

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.

Ability to understand and analyze loan documents, leases, and management agreements.

Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree required.

Essential Skills & Competencies

Real estate financial modeling for multifamily, office, and industrial assets; ability to build complex models from scratch including debt structures.

Property underwriting and advanced financial analytics.

Independent, proactive, self‑directed work ethic with strong problem‑solving and process improvement.

Excellent verbal and written communication; presentation skills.

Integrity, confidentiality, adherence to company policies, and teamwork.

Travel Requirements

Local and/or nationwide travel to assets and client sites: approximately 1–2 times per month.
