We invite applicants to apply for the Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist position in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine. Job Description Conduct research exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying ocular degeneration, with an emphasis on proteomic analysis. Collaborate with the Vision Research Center and external partners to produce publications and participate in externally funded research. Contribute to the department’s mission of advancing basic, translational, and clinical ophthalmology research.
Qualifications
PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
Minimum 2 years post‑doctoral experience.
For Senior Research Scientist: demonstrated success in obtaining external funding.
Preferred expertise in retinal diseases (age‑related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma).
