About the Store Manager Role: The Store Manager is a salaried role providing daily leadership to all store positions, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Manager. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager leads day-to-day operations, coaching and developing teammates, and promoting Monro’s vision of high-quality automotive service and tires. Responsibilities
Develop sales and technical teammates to deliver a consistent 5-star guest experience. Achieve sales goals through sales plans, product knowledge, and industry awareness. Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales and loyalty. Train and develop teammates to maintain a productive sales environment across shop operations and guest services. Provide direction to technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed. Ensure effective staffing by recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and developing teammates. Control expenses through payroll, utilities, supplies, and other controllable costs. Manage inventory including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking. Audit courtesy inspections performed by teammates. Maintain store condition to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness. Schedule guest appointments and assign teammates by skill level for efficient service completion. Inform and recommend tire and service products and promotions to meet sales goals. Address guest needs related to sales, service, complaints, and adjustments; build guest relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention. Convey repair and service needs clearly to guests; adhere to company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and OSHA standards. Maintain technical knowledge by completing Monro University training modules. Operate and maintain equipment safely per Monro and manufacturer guidelines (lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned. About the Assistant Store Manager Role:
As an Assistant Automotive Store Manager, you will participate in all aspects of store operations, support store leadership, and complete a comprehensive management training program from day one. You will help build lasting guest relationships and contribute to a 5-star guest experience. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Store Manager on store operations, hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and termination decisions. Support automotive technicians by training and developing teammates in shop operations and guest services. Assist with scheduling, timecards, and assigning work to technicians. Perform duties of an automotive technician when needed. Attend meetings and clinics to stay current on tools, parts, and repairs. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail/sales environment. Proven ability to manage, drive, and deliver financial results while controlling costs. Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals. Problem solving, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service skills. Strong communication with teammates and guests. Complete all Monro required training within specified timelines. Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR; ability to operate customer vehicles for test drives. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Automotive shop environment with moderate noise; exposure to adverse weather, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift, carry, and stock up to 50 lbs; frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling. Benefits
